Empact Communities Bike Swap will be held at the Kids in The Kitchen event at Martin Luther King Jr. Park in Long Beach

How the Kids Bike Swap Works
Empact Communities staff and volunteers have refurbished used donated bikes to bring to the Kids Bike Swap.   On the day of the event families can bring bikes that their children have outgrown and the bike will be safety checked.  Then the families can look through all the bikes we have fixed up and pick out another bike.  Families looking to get a bike, who do not have a bike to trade-in, are welcome to sign up for the free bike raffle after 1 pm. The remaining bikes will be raffled off for free at 2pm. Our staff will ensure that the bikes are in good working order before they are raffled off.  The Kids Bike Swap is free. 

Free Helmets
Empact's staff will do helmet fittings and provide free bike helmets as well as education on bicycle helmet safety to the winners of the bicycle raffle.

Free Bike Fix it Clinic 
Empact's staff will fix minor repairs so bring your bike and enjoy the festivities.

Donations
We will be accepting bicycle donations so if you have on old bike that no one is using, please bring it by and we'll fix it and find it a new happy home.
