About Us

OUR MISSION AND VISION

Our mission is to educate, organize, and provide resources to underserved communities in order to achieve our vision of regional mobility, equity, and environmental justice.

Healthy Active Streets is an anti-racist community based organization. HAS defines being an anti-racist org as fostering an environment where all people, regardless of race or color of their skin, know that they are valued and feel comfortable expressing themselves. We acknowledge that systemic racism and interpersonal racism impacts health outcomes of people of color. As an anti-racist org we will strive to identify, discuss, dismantle, and challenge issues of race in our work with safe environments for people to learn and grow.
