    Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition is hosting a Free Bicycle Safety Class Saturday(August 1st), in North Long Beach that is accepting walk-ins. The class is FREE and everyone will receive a helmet and lights when they attend. The class starts at 9am and will go until 1pm. It will be held at 9th District Office (old fire station) which is located at 6509 Gundry Ave., located south of Artesia Blvd., east of Orange Ave. Metro Bus 130 is the closest public transportation option and the Artesia Station for the Metro Blue Line lies 2.5 miles to the west. Parking can be found along the street. A few more details: Please bring a pen and paper for taking notes. You are also allowed to bring snacks and water if you like.
