Who is JELB?

A collaborative of organizations and individuals working to achieve systemic changes on matters of environmental health and justice in the most affected neighborhoods of North, West, and Central Long Beach. We accomplish this through community-driven collaborative work and resident-led advocacy on a range of policy making and planning around environmental pollution and healthy, equitable land

What to expect?

During this platica we will be discussing the work community has done with JELB over the past 2 years. This will include going over feedback from the community that will inform a community made policy. There will be opportunities in the future for participants that come to the Platica to help create, draft and push a policy in the city of long beach. Free food will be provide with Vegan and vegetarian options 

Quién es JELB?

Una colaboración de organizaciones e individuos que trabajan para lograr cambios sistémicos en cuestiones de salud y justicia ambiental en los vecindarios más afectados del norte, oeste y centro de Long Beach. Logramos esto a través del trabajo colaborativo impulsado por la comunidad y la promoción liderada por los residentes en una variedad de formulación y planificación de políticas en torno a la contaminación ambiental y la tierra saludable y equitativa.

Durante esta plática discutiremos el trabajo que la comunidad ha realizado con JELB durante los últimos 2 años. Esto incluirá repasar los comentarios de la comunidad que informarán una política elaborada por la comunidad. Habrá oportunidades en el futuro para los participantes que vengan a Platica para ayudar a crear, redactar e impulsar una política en la ciudad de Long Beach. Se proporcionará comida gratuita con opciones veganas y vegetarianas.
