We are happy to announce our next Just Environment Workshop which will be a Long Beach Policy 101 

What is Just Environment Long beach 

Just Environment Long Beach is a collaborative of organizations and individuals working to achieve systemic changes on matters of environmental health and justice in the most affected neighborhoods of North, West, and Central Long Beach. This is being accomplished through community-driven collaborative work and resident-led advocacy on a range of policy making and planning around environmental pollution and healthy, equitable land use.  Currently JELB is made up by, Healthy Active streets (HAS), East Yard Communities for Environmental Justice (EYCEJ) and Long Beach Alliance for Children with Asthma (LABACA)

What to expect

This workshop will provide an introduction to the fundamentals of nonprofit policy development and implementation. Participants will gain an understanding of the key components of effective nonprofit policies, as well as the tools and resources necessary to develop and implement them. 

1. • What Just Environment Long Beach has done to move policy forward in the city of long beach 
   • Define nonprofit policy and explain its importance 
   • identify the key components of effective nonprofit policies 
   • understand the policy development process 
   • learn how to implement and evaluate nonprofit policies 
   • access resources for further learning

We will be providing free translation, Food and refreshments!
