Preservation on nature and wildlife around us is important for creating healthy communities. Healthy Active Streets is collaborating with the Conservation Corps of Long Beach River Rangers to bring communities a free and educational bike ride along the LA river to learn about urban wildlife and how we can protect our waterways
Healthy Active Streets will conduct a bicycle clinic where we will be checking and making minor repairs for bicycles for free! We will also be giving away 7 bicycles through our adopt a bike program completely for free. Bikes will be given away on a first-come, first-serve basis so arrive on time to have a better chance of receiving a bike. If you would like attend but don’t have a bike please reach out to us so we can make this accommodation. We do not have a lot of bikes so please reach out as soon as you confirm. This is a no drop ride meaning we will always be riding as a group. This is an intergenerational bike ride open to all ages
If you do not have a bike
If you would like to participate but don’t have a bike, we will be able to provide 1 for you for the ride. The bikes that can be borrowed will be from our adopt a bike program. You can adopt the bike after the ride if you would like. Please only request a bike if you NEED it, we have a limited amount of 7 bikes that we can lend out to folks, if you do need a bike please send an email to
