T.W.I.G.s Wrench Nights
Trans, Women, Intersex, and Gender-non-conforming Wrench Nights meets the 2nd Tuesday of every month at The Center from 6:30-9pm. This time is reserved to host practical bike safety & mechanics lessons that can be performed with basic tools at home or even on-the-road. The power of knowing bike mechanics is infinite!Β 

Topic: Ergonomic Bike Health and Brakes
Come learn about how to optimally set up your bike so it fits your body and your desires for how you want to position yourself on your bike! We will focus on fitting, equipment and the various parts you can change to adapt the bike exactly to your body and needs.Β 

Also, learn all about brakes! Learn about accessing your brakes, replacing them and how to optimally adjust them!

No experience necessary. This is a free workshop.Β 

Rio (jill contreras) has been an avid cyclist since 2002. They have taught bike mechanics to over 7,000 people of all ages and in spanish as well. Rio has been on over 5,000 miles of bike touring often being the main mechanic on the trips. Their bike mechanics skills have been learned through experience and learning from other amazing mechanics. Rio's mechanics skills are focused on what can be done feasibly and easily at home and how to prevent major issues.
